Dewi Ratih Mask - Goddess of Beauty
The Goddess of Beauty, she is called upon during the tooth-filing ceremony, a beautification ritual, wherein the person undergoing the rite is prepared to attract someone of the opposite sex. Dewi Ratih brings success, health, protects against evil and brings us the beauty of flowers. The necklace and ring symbolize love and fidelity and the birds perched in her hair symbolize the unity of humans and nature. Hand carved in Capaka wood from the magnolia family and painted in the I. B. Ambara workshop in the village of Mas in Bali.
